The mission of the church is to make Biblical disciples in relational environments.
Jesus makes some specific statements about being a disciple:

1. Disciples ABIDE in the Word.

"If you abide in my Word, then you are truly disciples of mine. And you will know the truth and the truth will make you free."
 - John 8:31-32

2. Disciples LOVE one another.

"By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another."  
 - John 13:35

3. Disciples bear much FRUIT.

"My Father is glorified  by this, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples."
 - John 15:8
